Patreon restructured its pricing in August 2025. New creators pay a flat 10% platform fee; creators who joined earlier keep their legacy tiered rate (8%, 10%, or 12%) plus payment processing on top. Enter your numbers to see your real payout.

For years, Patreon offered three tiers, Lite (8%), Pro (10%), and Premium (12%), and creators picked based on which features they needed. As of August 4, 2025, new creators no longer choose: everyone pays a flat 10% platform fee. If you created your page before that date, you kept your original tiered rate.
On top of the platform fee, Patreon charges payment processing separately, and it's disproportionate on small pledges. Charges under $3 carry a roughly 5% processing rate because the flat-fee component of card processing eats a bigger share of a tiny transaction. Above that, it settles closer to the standard 2.9% + $0.30 per charge.
If you joined before August 2025 and you're on the 8% Lite tier, you're paying less than new creators, there's no reason to change. If you're on the 12% Premium tier, it's worth checking whether the new flat 10% would actually save you money, since Patreon has continued adding features (video hosting, livestreaming) to the base tier that used to be Premium-only.
Fee rates are kept current but can change without notice. Always confirm your current plan and rate in your Patreon creator dashboard before making pricing decisions. This tool provides estimates only and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Patreon.
